We want you to be able to make informed decisions regarding your retirement. The goal of investing is to put your money to work and have it grow over time. Like most retirement programs, OregonSaves offers a range of funds from conservative to aggressive. No matter your risk tolerance, remember that when you invest in OregonSaves you are purchasing municipal securities, the value of which will vary with market conditions. Below is the list of funds in which you can invest in OregonSaves.

OregonSaves Capital Preservation Fund - Highlights

This option is intended to be a cash like fund that seeks to help investors preserve the value of their savings by investing in money market securities. The OregonSaves Capital Preservation Fund is 100% invested in the State Street Liquid Reserves Fund (Ticker: SSIXX).

The OregonSaves Capital Preservation Fund is where participants in the program will be automatically enrolled until they have accumulated $1,000 in savings.

OregonSaves Target Retirement Funds - Highlights

Each Target Retirement Fund has a specific “target date” (e.g., 2035, 2045, 2055). The Fund in which you will be automatically invested will correspond with the year closest to when you will be 65.

A Target Retirement Fund invests in a mix of stocks and bond funds based on how far away it is from its target date. The Funds seek growth for younger investors and become more conservative over time in order to help its investors preserve savings as the funds near their target dates. Target Retirement Funds are available for savers of all ages, and are usually selected by picking the fund that is closest to the year you expect to retire.

Program participants who are enrolled using the standard savings choices will automatically contribute into the age-appropriate Target Retirement Fund after they have accumulated $1,000 in savings.

The OregonSaves Target Retirement Portfolios are 100% invested in the State Street Target Retirement Funds. These funds invest in an assortment of other State Street funds (such as stock and bond funds). The range of target retirement funds available (and their ticker signs) include:

The OregonSaves Growth Fund seeks to match the potential growth of large companies in the U.S. stock market by investing in companies included in the S&P500® Index. This option is 100% invested in the State Street Equity 500 Index Fund (SSSYX).
